Can I customize a marquee letter light?

Of course! We also offer the above font styles in painted finishes (color of your choice) or clear coated stainless steel.  If interested in either of these options, please contact us.

What type of bulbs are include?

• For 12" & 18" letters: C7 Intermediate Base Incandescent Bulbs
• For 24" letters & up: C9 Intermediate Base Incandescent Bulbs

 

Our standard bulbs last ~4,000 hours and come included with all marquees.

 

Bulb Upgrade Options:

• C7/C9 LED Bulbs (Last ~50,000 hours): $2.50 per bulb
• G40/G50 Round Bulbs (Last ~4,000 hours): $1.00 per bulb
• G40/G50 LED Round Bulbs (Last ~50,000 hours): $3.00 per bulb
• Colored Bulbs: to request a specific color bulb, contact us.

 

Can I connect multiple marquee letter together?

Yes! How many marquees you can connect depends on the bulb count.

• Standard Bulbs - 90 bulbs per one outlet (plug)
• LED Bulbs - 900 bulbs per one outlet (plug)

 

If you purchase 2 or more letters, we include daisy chains within your package.  These are small cords that you can use to connect one letter to the next and then ultimately to the wall power outlet via an extension cord.

 

How do I mount/hang my marquee?

The back of each marquee comes with reinforced metal hanging keyhole brackets.  Simply place a screw or nail where you want the marquee to hang and mount the marquee like a picture frame.

 

What are your marquees made out of?

Our stocked marquee lights are 20 gauge cold rolled American steel.  Custom marquees that are larger than 5 feet tall are made out of 18 gauge steel reinforced with rods on the back of the sign.  Our rust finish is an authentic surface rust finish and we use commercial grade paint for any painted orders.  We use UL listed string light kits and LED bulbs.

 

Are your marquee lights approved for outdoor use?

Yes, every marquee light you see on The Rusty Marquee is approved for indoor and outdoor use.

 

Do your marquee lights stand on their own?

The bigger the marquee light, the more top heavy it will be.  While our smaller flat bottom marquees can balance on their own, free standing is not guaranteed for all letters.  If you need your marquee to free stand, please contact us and we can quote you for a custom base.

 

How much does a marquee weigh?

• 12" letter lights: ~5lbs
• 18" letter lights: ~7lbs
• 24" letter lights: ~10lbs
• 36" letter lights: ~15lbs

 

What's your shipping timeline?

Most stocked products ship in 2-3 business days.  If the product is out of stock, we can typically ship within 1-2 weeks.  Need your marquee by a certain date?  Be sure to fill out the time sensitive delivery section at checkout.
